In psychic work, sometimes impressions come through as mental images. When this happens, I say I “see” it. This process is where we get the word clairvoyance.
Sometimes impressions come in the form of words. I tend to say I “hear” this information, a process call clairaudience.
Less often the impressions come through other sensations – smell, a physical sensation or emotion. These are described just as they come through.
