Today’s playing cards originated from the minor arcana portion of the tarot deck, so they can be used to get a good reading, just as much as classic Tarot cards. The cards used in a reading are just a tool to access the intuition that is the real heart of the reading. So for those who are uncomfortable with “tarot” for any reason, this is a good way to sample a reading without feeling as nervous about it.
